Moving Check List
There are so many things to remember before moving time that it seems like some of them are always forgotten until it's too late. We have provided you with a check list to help you remember the necessary details at the right time (here's a printer friendly version).
Documents for bank/mortgage company
- Copy of the offer to purchase the home being bought
- Copy of the listing on the new home including a picture
- Salary letters from present employers, and/or recent T4 slips
- Proof of source of down payment: bonds, bank books, RHOSP, letter from person giving money, copy of the sale of your present home
Documents for lawyer
- Deed and survey to your present home (if applicable)
- Latest tax bill or tax roll number (if applicable)
- Condominium papers (if applicable)
- Original mortgage commitment
- Homeowner's insurance policy
To be advised about change of address
- Local post office branch

- Employer, friends, and relatives

Do you have a pet?
We have heard that you can contact your veterinarian and get pills to lessen your pet's anxiety until the move is over. Most pets become very anxious over furniture disappearing from one home and into a new house without the familiar scent of familiar surroundings.
